Non-Destructive Examination Services

Strengthening asset reliability through fast, accurate, and industry‑trusted inspection methods.

Non‑Destructive Examination (NDE) is essential for ensuring the safety, reliability, and lifespan of your equipment—without interrupting operations. At MWS Integrity Solutions, we provide a full suite of NDE services designed to detect defects, confirm material condition, and support proactive maintenance planning.

Our inspection team is made up of CGSB‑certified and SNT‑certified technicians, ensuring every assessment meets recognized industry standards for quality and accuracy. MWS can also offer Dual Certified Inspectors, allowing both Visual and NDE inspections to be completed at the same time, making for more cost effective and efficient inspections.

Regulatory-Inspections

Flexible Service Options

Choose the support model that fits your operation:

  • CallOut Inspections Fast, reliable, and available whenever you need immediate support, on an as-needed basis, with no requirement of being a full integrity program client.
  • Integrated Program Support Seamlessly incorporate NDE into your full Integrity Management programs for a proactive, longterm approach.

What We Offer

A full range of NDE methods to support safe, efficient operations:
Ultrasonic-Testing

Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Measures wall thickness and identifies internal corrosion or flaws using high-frequency sound waves. It’s a fast, accurate method for assessing material condition without shutdowns.

Shearwave
UT

Uses angled sound waves to detect subsurface flaws in welds and materials. Reflected signals help identify the size and shape of discontinuities, making it ideal for weld integrity assessments.

Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Reveals surface and nearsurface cracks in ferromagnetic materials. When a magnetic field is applied, defects attract the particles and become visible.

Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)

Highlights surface-breaking defects by applying a dye that seeps into cracks and becomes visible under inspection.

Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)

Detects corrosion and pitting in steel by applying a strong magnetic field to the material. Areas with metal loss cause the field to “leak,” which is picked up by the scanner.

It is commonly used for tank floor inspections, especially at the soil-to-floor interface, where corrosion often develops and may not be visible.

Hardness
Testing

Verifies material strength and confirms heat-affected zones by measuring resistance to indentation.

Corrosion & Erosion Surveys

These surveys track metal loss over time, providing baseline and trending data to support long-term asset integrity planning.

Why It Matters

Our NDE services help you:

  • Reduce unplanned downtime
  • Detect issues early—before they become costly failures
  • Maintain regulatory compliance
  • Extend asset life
  • Improve safety and operational confidence
